Minnetonka Boots!

When shopping in New York a couple weeks ago, I stumbled across a pair of really cute fringe boots, i instantly regretted not buying them, so when I got back to the UK I searched for them online. I had no idea they were so popular! With celebrities like; Kourtney Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Claudia Schiffer and Nicole Richie owning a pair i fell in love with them even more, especially seeing all the different looks to try them out with. I'm a HUGE fringe fan and I adore that Pocahontas style that fringe has.. They look super cute with skinny jeans or shorts for the summer! I will definatly be ordering a pair, once I make my mind up on what style i love more! They will be perfect for festival season!!

Take a look below at the different Minnetonka style boots, they do them in different colours. I'm just quite bias because I personally prefer the darker ones.. go take a look at http://www.minnetonka.co.uk/

Sad Pals: Animals have rights to

'Speak for those who don't have a voice.'

If I could protect and look after every animal that's in need in this world, I would. There is an astonishing amount of mistreated pets, so many animals are abused and neglected it's impossible to help them all when so many people don't seem to care.

Last month i visited Sad Pals someone I know is moving house and unfortunately the place they were moving to wouldn't allow animals to live on the premises. So reluctantly they had to give their cat up. Sad pals is owned by an elderly lady, who told us stories about how some of the cats happened to end up in Sad pals, the stories moved me to tears. I was so shocked. There were so many cats there that had been rescued from appalling conditions. One of the cats named Winky, came over to me for a fuss, 'she's named Winky because she only has one eye', said the elderly lady and she went on to tell me that when she was a kitten a young child pocked her in the eye with a stick.Winky wasn't the only cat that had lost an eye, some of them had lost their ears and had, had their tails cut off. There were even kittens and pregnant cats that had been found thrown in a bag and left to die but had survived thanks to Sad Pals.

For a twelve year old cat, my cat Daisy is one of the most loved, content and healthy adult cats I've seen in a while. My whole family care for her well-being as she is part of our family. Its not hard to care for an animal but it does take commitment. Every animal needs a home but not every animal gets a good home and it's heartbreaking.

I'm one person, just a teenager and a fashion student from the West Midlands, like many girls when ever i get paid I cant wait to go shopping, I love following and talking about fashion, but every now and then I stumble across a really sad story, that moves me to tears. I need to think about the important things in this world. Fashion speaks for itself, people are aware of fashion. Do I always need to blog about it and help promote a thriving business, that's becoming somewhat of a way of life. I will never understand why people abuse Animals? Why can't we put and end to it? Why is there no end to evil? Accidents happen but those people that have the intention to hurt a helpless animal sicken me, it's disturbing. I should not need to remind you that life is precious and we do not have the right to play god.

Home Manicure + Pedicure

How to do the perfect manicure + pedicure at home!

First off guys, this is quite a lengthy process, but if you want your nails to look flawlessly professional then read on my friends!

*If you have time soak hands and feet in the bath before cutting nails*

You will need;

Nail varnish remover:
make sure you purchase a high quality nail polish remover, like Taylor & Taylor or/ nail varnish pads. - Don't bother with wipes, from personal experience they don't work well.

Hand/body lotion:
I use after sun because i just came back off holiday a few weeks ago, and i still use after sun when my holiday is well and truly finito' to make my tan last longer.

Nail cutters and two nail files.
Yes, you heard me two nail files! One like this Ruby & Millie nail block, and the second will be the usual nail file.

Nail enamel corrector pen:
Touch up any nail polish mistakes.
I've had this product for years and it's so helpful.
By Avon nail experts range.

Nail hardener / base coat
this can make old/cheap nail varnish last longer, look top of the range and high in quality.

The nail polish of your choice

I'm using Vintage Blue by Avon.

*tip: if your in a hurry or/ always smudge your nails, dip painted nails into warm water for a minute or so, this should dry the nail polish smudge free*

How to shop for a friend

Give gifts the personal touch.

For my friend Josh's 18th Birthday, i decided to personalise a beer mug, i forgot to take a picture of the final product, but i made a few changes. Filling the mug with Chupa Chup lollipops & party poppers. I also stuck an 18 sticker on the back of the mug!

Jordan's Birthday

We went to eat at this cute little Mexican bar, in the Arcadian Birmingham.

Present time!!

David & goliath - i love nerds tee

because girls love chocolate!

the presentation of a gift is just as important, i usually grab a cute gift bag, and fill it up with sweets, confetti & party poppers!

Before heading out!

Simone's Birthday

I missed one of my besties birthday's because i was in Spain, so the week before i went on holiday we went for a day out shopping and grabbed a bite to eat at Wagamamas. She chose what she wanted, but to add a personal touch i also gave her a picture frame and inside her card i put the choice of two pictures to put in the frame.
If all else fails, and you really don't know what to get your friend, head out for a shopping trip and let your friend choose for her/him self or just see what they like and go back to buy it.
So, here are just a few gift ideas. And gifts I've given the past month. I don't know about you, but two months out of the year are jam packed full of Birthdays! It's like, everyone i know has a Birthday in July or/ September! As much as i love the celebration process.. It's a dreaded month for my piggy bank.. !

Just think about what your friend is into, what reminds you of them? Making things personal makes the best impact, and your gift will be remembered! :)
hope this helps! xo
